A. Selection Tool :  To add or remove objects from the selection, hold down Shift and click or drag around the objects you want to add or remove. Tip: When the Selection tool is over an unselected object or group, it changes to .

B. Drawing Tools : The simplest path you can draw with the Pen tool is a straight line, made by clicking the Pen tool to create two anchor points. By continuing to click, you create a path made of straight line segments connected by corner points.

Illustrator Tools overview

There are 9 tools in total used in Illustrator. They will be explained thoroughly in other posts. Here are the names below, they have subparts each. These tools consists a toolbox and consists a part of Illustrator, which make illustrator a successful software.

Note- If there is any small triangle in any of the tool, it means it has a sub part/s. You can hold click on the tool the list will open automatically.

You can show or hide the toolbar by visiting windows ~ tools

You can select options by keyboard than selecting from mouse, by pressing Alt and symbols will appear for each tool, press accordingly, the tool you want.

Importance of Illustration in design point of view.
